"Barossa Shiraz selected for the Sieger Series of wines. Fruit from 40- year old vines and deep alluvial Barossa soils gives a richness of black berries. Maturation in French oak 18months offer soft silky tannins. Family vineyards hand crafted methods with mocha & plums. A full- bodied shiraz with elegant approachability and enjoyment.
Superb colour saturation featuring black core and a very deep ruby hue. Intense ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flow out of the glass followed by dark chocolate, earth and spicy mocha. Full and incredibly velvety, generous ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fill every corner of the mouth with a liquid silk like feel. Fine and soft tannins. Finishes with a long powerful aftertaste.
The fertile soil of the Barossa in South Australia is home to some of the world’s most highly praised vineyards. The region has a Mediterranean style climate with relatively rainy winters and warm summers which helps to create the perfect environment for red wine production." - Winery
