'One of the treasures of Australian wine. They're moving to change the vineyard sources - good news is that the new vineyards look as if they're going to produce better grapes than the previous sites. Lighter version of St Peters but has a lovely even-handed ripeness and elegance. Beautifully clean fruit flavours too. It tastes of earth, plums, mint and cedarwood with quite a bit of spicy, black pepper-like flavours and meaty, exotic edges. You wouldn't call it powerful, but you'd call it beautifully ripened. Will be a classy wine with some age on it.'
