"Rather closed and withdrawn in its youth, this spicy, peppery shiraz has a very subdued presence of small dark berry, dark plum and dark chocolate flavour backed by smoky, charcuterie-like and musky qualities. It's deep, drying and savoury, with a fine, firm undercarriage of grainy tannins, finishing with a moderate length of brooding fruit and earthy notes. It's complete and complex, and should open up over the next year or two."
