[SOLD-OUT] Scorpo Noirien Pinot Noir 2012

Scorpo Noirien is a wine well worth keeping an eye out for.

If this is a sign of things to come from the 2012 Mornington vintage, then bring it on. Polished, well-ripened, spice-flecked, complex and more-ish. Satiny textured. Fruit through the finish. Blueberry, dark cherry, strawberry and mint. Finishes with a sure whip of flavour. Terrific drinking.
Wine Front, 9th May 2013.

Better than the 2011 Noirien, this edition of Scorpo's second Mornington Peninsula pinot noir has cherries, plums and spice on the nose, with some slightly floral fragrances, too. It's plump and juicy in the mouth with good flow and a grainy, fine backbone of tannins.
The Age Epicure, June 4th 2013.
