"A kind of crispness and crunch to this wine, with hallmark spice, red cherry fruitiness, herbal elements in tow. Fine strings of lacy tannin firm things up, the wine almost feels just a few pay grades up from rose but for its layers of fruit and spice. It’s delicious, refreshing, vibrant as an expression. It does a lighter shade of sangio so well.

"Our prized variety being the first one wee planted 25 odd year ago. Our oldest vines, planted to a range of Brunello clones. Like all the estate range, a wine built to cellar. Food for sure, Italian food absolutely, pizza yes!
Another cool year, very wet early that kept us on our toes in the vineyard. Was a year for patience, faith and gumboots. Processed to whole berries in 10hl oak cuves for fermentation. On skins for 6 months then pressed to large format foudre for second year." - Ravensworth
