Barbera grows almost anywhere, plant it in concrete and it would still have a crack at producing fruit. Chemically, it's an easy wine to make as it has a great acid balance so it doesn't require any bells and whistles like new oak, bunches or time in the cellar to work itself out. 100% whole berry, wild ferments, 4 weeks on skins, old barrels - thats it!
