“Only 60 dozen of this wine made. Spent 21 days on skins, did its thing naturally, hung out in old oak, bottled relatively young, styled for freshness and vitality of drinking. It’s from the same vineyard as Ravensworth nebbiolo. It’s certainly breezy and fresh-feeling. Yowsers, this has ‘skol’ as its bedrock.

Pretty perfume, more floral, minty, alpine herb suggestions than expected, but shows a riff of red cherry and Campari-like fruitiness for good measure. Light, clean, pure, crunchy texture. Red cherries with a good shake from the garam masala spice mill, cool acidity underlying and a lick of mint. It’s pushing to medium weight but feels breezy and disarmingly light. Nice sappy finish with a twist of bitter amaro and clove spice. Oh man, this just drinks and drinks.”
