"PdB really just hit it out of the park in 2013, I feel. This is fragrant, dried flower and red fruits, with a suggestion of liquorice and new leather, dried herb etc., but it’s that density and ‘mineral’ feel that sets it apart. Tannin is firm, all the black tea and coal kind of stuff, pitch-perfect clean acidity, and a wall of tannin and concentration on a super long finish. This is a significant release. Hold this. It’s not a wine for now, even though I’ve reviewed it within about 10 minutes of opening."
