"It's a metered style, happy in its own weight division and not looking to take on the bantam weights that move with frenetic speed. Just so.
Judicious and fancy oak chimes from the glass " it's slightly savoury, nougat-coated and lets white flesh stone fruit aromas swirl around it. Powerful in the palate; an elegant line of cedar-fringed fruit character, almost glossy in texture, rich to a point but fine-tuned with briny acidity and a quick report of matchsticky reduction. Concentrated without exceeding the limits, poise and direction, satisfying chardonnay wine with a regal feel and that 'control' that is found in some chardonnay wines of class. If anything, just a little tight now. Very good."

"Once very full-bodied and lush, this Margaret River chardonnay has grown more refined, while retaining richness. Stone fruit, spice and earthy lees aromas flow through a smooth palate of excellent length."

100% Chardonnay. 100% barrel fermented and carefully matured in specially selected small French oak barriques sourced exclusively from Burgundian coopers. Fortnightly bâtonnage was employed throughout the 10-month maturation period.
Wet stones and stone fruit and much pacier than the Moss Wood Chardonnay 2011. Lovely texture and refreshment factor. Good chew on the end and great drive. Really a very satisfying Chardonnay.
