A slightly reductive, but deep, dark and brooding shiraz built around tremendously concentrated dark but bright minty plum/cassis fruit, and augmented by lightly vanilla and cedary characters derived from larger oak casks. Very tannic, but soft and creamy, it's long and savoury, with a finish of salted nuts and firm grip. Needs time. (18.7, Drink 2008+) 95 points - Jeremy Oliver
