“Ten months in a combination of (older) French and American oak. Barossa, McLaren Vale and Padthaway. 89% shiraz, 11% mourvedre. Stylish wine. Distinctive. Leather, violets, iodine, black cherry and blackberry. Doesn’t show a lot of oak but does show character-laden fruit. Beautiful red. Smoky, earthen, minerally finish. ”

"Deep red/purple colour. The bouquet is very fruit-driven and sweetly plummy, with a lot of spice. Good intensity and brightness, the grip is there in abundance, the depth of flavour is excellent, a good value wine. Still needs time as it's quite firm and immature. Only 11% mourvedre in this wine."
