"So with the exception of the Bin 28 Kalimna, it’s pretty much a big thumbs up from me for the 2009 Penfolds Bin releases. I like what I’ve seen of 2007 Coonawarra so far I might add.
There’s a touch of pepper, raspberry rope and fresh red berry fruits backed with light cedar oak - clean and lively. It’s mid weight, fresh and very tasty with brightly lit red fruits and a little spice - some slightly bitter herbal flavours don’t detract. The tannins are firm and lightly drying and the finish is good - a little peppery but fruit sweet and expansive. Nice wine. Very young but should age well."
