It's rich and spicy with excitement, hitting you with a big burst of flavour that doesn't let go right the way to the end. It's muscular and dense but it's no simpleton either - the complexity is here. The acidity is a little intrusive, almost spicy and tangy, but it settles into the wine with suitable airing. Give it a couple more years and it will be in full flight."

Bob Campbell 94 points!"A consistent and much appreciated (by me at least) style with intensity and an array of plum, berry, oak, toasted nut, mineral and anise/spice flavours. There's a delightfully rustic hint to the wine, perhaps from the fine, ripe tannins, although it's pure class from begining to end."
