"Patrick Piuze was born in Quebec, though left Canada in 2000 and moved to Burgundy. Working vintage and winemaking at Leflaive, Brocard and Verget, Piuze started his own label in 2008 to capture the unique terroirs of Chablis. Sourcing fruit from the best sites across Chablis, he makes up to 20 different wines, bringing beautiful Chablis to the market at affordable prices. Although he makes Grand & Premier Cru Chablis, he is committed to reversing this perception that affordable AC Chablis is one dimensional and unremakable. Terroir de Courgis comes from a single vineyard of clay topsoil above Kimmeridgian limestone bedrock that's known for fuller-bodied Chardonnay. It's typically the most weighty (think ripe, round fruit) of the Terroir wines.

Medium-bodied, dry, it has flavours of apple and flinty minerality on the nose followed by a dense palate of lemon and stone fruit. The lush finish has plenty of minerality, wet river rocks and smoky hints. Outstanding."
