[SOLD-OUT] Parker Estate First Growth Cabernets 2005

On the first day there was a tannic little beast in the glass all curled up with a faint scent of blackcurrant and something savoury like iodine but locked up in a cage of cedar oak. On the second day there was light (and shade) with plenty of Cassis/plum/raspberry fruit and a suggestion of violets. Medium to full bodied with distinctly firm tannins although now more relaxed no shortage of length or power either. It needs a lot of time, and patience, but ultimately will reward. One for later.'
