It's quite fragrant and expressive with a touch of mint over blackberry and raspberry fruit, aniseed and plenty of mocha oak with just a bit of that (in this case very attractive) coconutty Survival surf wax smell over the top. On the palate a Barossa Shiraz with some elegance and restraint - it's has a mix of black and red berry fruit, aniseed, spice and mocha/vanilla flavours that flow easily through the mouth courtesy of fresh acidity and balanced ripe tannin. It all comes together exceedingly well. It's a very convincing Centenary Hill and from a personal (rather than objective) viewpoint, I can tell you that like it better than the last couple of vintages.

If you like big, soft, brooding Barossa shiraz, you'll love this From a very strong Barossa vintage, it is chock-full of ripe juicy fruits, from red berries to prunes and fruit cake. There are spices, too - clove and anise, along with some vanillin oak influence.
