In hue, a lovely ruby ​​red color. The nose is redolent of red berry fruit which is enhanced by deeper toasted hints of coffee & chocolate. On the palate the bouquet carries over nicely, accompanied by smooth, enveloping tannins & a long, lingering finish. This wine demonstrates a very nice texture. Far be it from this stand-up Chianti Classico to disappoint regarding its renowned as a food wine. This wine would be a great accompaniment to pasta dishes with light sauces, superb for first courses of the Tuscan tradition such as Tagliatelle with Ragu of Chianina."
