"The 2007 Reserve Shiraz was sourced from a 45 year old vineyard and aged for 18 months in French and American oak, 50% new. A saturated purple color, it reveals a brooding bouquet of pain grille, lavender, incense, smoked meat, blueberry, and licorice. Back-strapping yet light on its feet, it is impeccably balanced, exceptionally long, and very cellar worthy. Give it 6-8 years and drink this intellectually and sensually pleasing effort between 2015 and 2027. In a challenging vintage Drew Noon made superb wines, if not quite as sublime as when the weather is more cooperative."
