"Despite its labeled 15.5% alcohol, Noon's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve doesn't come across as hot, just powerful. It's a restrained power, held in check by a framework of elegant pencil shavings and minty notes. A big wine on the palate, it's loaded up with cassis fruit, ample weight and layers of velvety tannins, yet it finishes with plenty of persistence, elegance and complexity." - RobertParker.com, March 2018
“The cabernet sauvignon is sourced from Langhorne Creek rather than the McLaren Vale farm that Noon calls home. Sipping a breathy, 15.5% cabernet sauvignon is really quite something else. I kinda got into it.
Marble-like polish to the wine (and feel in a way). So dense and firm, yet has a seamless glide that charms. Heady scents of dark plum, dark chocolate, figs, dates, strong lavender and miscellaneous floral scents, a whiff of brambles. To sip is to be shocked then subdued. Such thickness and chewy, lush, dark berry and choc mint flavours. But the finish is mouthwatering (!), pretty and helps resent the palate. When people speak of balance, here you go. It’s a gorilla in a tutu (and you don’t see those often). I went back for more.” - Mike Bennie, Wine Front
"Produced from 100% Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Main Road and Fruit Trees blocks. Very small crop this year. The wine has attractive sweet red berry and cedar aromas, along with earthy/mineral notes. The palate delivers on this promise, with full body and lovely purity of flavour. It is a composed and well balanced wine, almost suave in texture. There is some nice firm tannin which makes its presence felt on the long finish and aftertaste. Good to drink even now with a char-grilled steak or can be cellared for 10 years+. Appears to be very successful." - Noon Winery
