[SOLD-OUT] Nick Spencer Gruner Veltliner 2017

Wine Front 93+ points!

A good grape is Grüner Veltliner. I often think of it as being a halfway house on the path from Riesling to Chardonnay.

It has that signature radish and white pepper top note over apple and peach, some spicy biscuit and hazelnut. Light bodied, plenty of spice and a twist of pink grapefruit keeping it fresh and cool, fine acidity and a subtle dusty/white pepper texture, apple drizzled with lemon on the finish, which is fairly long, leaving spice and cool acidity in its wake. Needs another year in bottle to start showing its best side, I reckon. Good Grüner.
