Declassified Quintet!
"The 2009 season was a difficult season with extreme heat and the tragic fires that followed. Because of this, the 2009 Cabernet blend for Quintet was not quite up to the usual high standards required by the winery and therefore it was decided to declassify and release it under the Reflexion label. The winery suggests, unlike normal vintages of Quintet, this Cabernet blend is best drunk in its youth."
Wine House

""(47% Cabernet sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 15% Cabernet franc, 4% Malbec, 3% Petit verdot) The Quintet varieties seemed to handle the warmer, drier, 2009 conditions better than any other variety grown at Mount Mary. In the face of adverse growing conditions the Cabernet varieties continue to excel here in the Valley. The 2009 Reflexion Cabernet blend has a complex nose showing cherry, blackberry and violet. There are some spices, cigar box and earthy characters. These should become the more dominant characters with time in bottle. The tannins are firm on the palate but meld well with the acidity and riper flavour spectrum."

Remarkably pale for Cabernet. Eucalyptus scent and cassis " very distinctive. Manages to get lovely delicacy and perfume " the antithesis of the blockbuster.
