The 2011 Pinot shows aromas of strawberries, rhubarb and cherries. There are some oak characteristics present here adding some toasty complexities. The flavour profile is dominated by red fruits namely cranberries, plums and cherries. Behind the red fruits sits a savoury element that will become more pronounced with time. The palate is delicate and creamy although suitably persistent with good length and tannic grip. Mount Mary Pinots will always build palate intensity with time in bottle.
