"A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, along with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, grown on the slopes of Mt. Veeder. Chocolate, crystallized violet, black fruit, mocha. Full-bodied, deep, mineral feel, all graphite and earth, a carpet of suede tannin, freshness, intensity and palate saturating fruit. Amazing. Not unapproachable now, either."

"The mountain appellation speaks loudly in this wine, contributing juicy blackberry, tar and leather, all within a forested context of wild truffle and crunchy leaves. Concentrated and robust in body and ripeness, it unwinds slowly in the glass, imparting jolts of black pepper as it goes."

"This Cabernet Sauvignon has great spice, minerality, notes of blue fruits, toast, and dark cherry that combine with bright floral notes, weight, and a wonderful finish."
