It’s a lovely thing to drink – smooth and supple, plenty of raspberry and liquorice flavour, rich without being sickly or claggy, a bit of the old ‘mineral’ thing, and a finish of satisfying length, with a lick of powdery tannin. Thumbs up.
Gary Walsh, WIne Front, November 2016

“A blend of 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah this wine has all the perfume and fleshy generosity of fully ripe Grenache fruit with a solid backing of Syrah with freshness and finesse of tannins and that faint hint of provence herbs that makes southern Rhone reds, and Mont-Redon, so popular.”
Mount Redon

“A charming, supple and elegant effort that offers lots of bang for the buck is the 2014 Côtes du Rhône Reserve. Made from 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah raised all in stainless steel, it offer lots of red currants, spring flowers and pepper to go with a medium-bodied, polished and lightly textured feel on the palate. It won’t make old bones, but will offer plenty of charm on release and over the following 3-4 years. ”
