The 2009 Velvet Glove was the highlight of the tasting. The 2009 vintage has produced outstanding Shiraz for Mollydooker. The Boxer ($25), Blue Eyed Boy ($49) and Carnival of Love ($90) all have received scores of 95 points or higher from my tasting notes.
What makes the 2009 Velvet Glove Shiraz near perfect is the amazingly rich, velvety texture that has a finish that goes in your mouth for over 30 seconds. I have tasted all vintages of the Velvet Glove and this could be the very best every made.
