"Full, even, moderately dark ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, a little lighter edged. The nose is full and up-front with aromas of savoury dark-red berry and cherry fruit interwoven with plum and raspberry liqueur notes and fresh and dark herbs, unfolding dark-red florals and building in depth with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate is fresh and bright with lively flavours of dark red cherry and berry fruit alongside fresh and dark herb notes and lifted red floral. The fruit forms a good core with supple, fine, grainy tannin extraction, and the mouthfeel is enlivened by fresh, brisk acidity. The wine flows with positive energy, leading to a gently concentrated, dry textured finish with liquorice and herb notes. This is an up-front, bright and fresh fruited Pinot Noir with cherry, berry and herb flavours, supple tannin textures and some concentration. Match with poultry and pork over the next 4+ years. Fruit from the company’s younger vineyards, predominantly hand-picked, fully destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in French oak."

"Rich, flavoursome wine with red-fleshed plum, cherry, berry and spicy oak flavours. Satisfyingly smooth texture and a lingering finish. Ripe and fleshy pinot noir from a very favourable vintage. Mellow and ready for drinking but no rush."

"Te Tera vineyards typically range from 8 – 23 years old and are located within the premium Martinborough growing appellation. Te Tera literally translates from Maori as "The Other.” These wines embody a more youthful, approachable style. Wonderful aromatics of dark cherries and dried herbs and spices instantly grab your attention on the nose of this elegant Pinot Noir. On the first sip, your palate is greeted with soft, rich fruit flavours with a hint of spice. The moreish tannins and a velvety texture make for an impressive finish."
