[SOLD-OUT] Main Ridge The Acre Pinot Noir 2019

WINE FRONT 95+ POINTS!

"Spicy, tobacco and clove characters over black cherry and ripe plummy fruit. Hounds at the palate with a burr of emery board tannins, tart, puckering acidity and a sluice of that cherry-plum juice rolling around. A lift of something faintly minty? Fragrant in perfume and palate alike. Has a good sense of presence and latent power, but feels like a wine tight, tense and needing time. I like this vin de garde feel. Very good." - Wine Front

"Main Ridge Estate is an ideal site for producing high quality cool climate Pinot Noir. Located in a small valley at 230 metres altitude on Arthur’s Seat, our small 7 acre vineyard was planted progressively from 1975. It is one of the oldest and highest vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula. The north-east facing vineyards slope gently, sheltered by stands of mature trees. The rich volcanic soil and mature deep-rooted vines ensure no irrigation is required. Main Ridge Estate wines have always been made exclusively from estate grown fruit.

The 2019 The Acre Pinot Noir has a strong core of fruit, Morello cherry, mandarin peel, elderflowers. The amplified texture and power of the wine suggest that this will have the greater cellaring potential of the two Pinot Noirs." - Main Ridge
