"Luke Lambert is one of the artisans of the Australian wine scene. He is certainly one of the most talented winemakers working in the Yarra Valley. The sites he uses are often low vigour, rocky, elevated pockets of the region, and the wines he makes reflect their wild and unique character. Everything he does is hand-crafted and low-intervention - from wild ferments without the aid of temperature control, hand plunging, long macerations (with plenty of whole-bunch for the Syrah) to basket-pressing, gravity rather than pumping, old oak, and no fining or filtration.
