"Neon purple, perfume, pepper, boysenberry, blackcurrant, honey biscuits. It’s light to medium-bodied, intense small berried black fruit, plenty of bunch and spice, highlight is ultra-pure mineral water acidity, fine chalky tannin, and a long crisp peppery finish. Wonderful delineation and expression of Shiraz."

Gary Walsh, Wine Front

"Luke Lambert is one of the artisans of the Australian wine scene. He is certainly one of the most talented winemakers working in the Yarra Valley. The sites he uses are often low vigour, rocky, elevated pockets of the region, and the wines he makes reflect their wild and unique character. Everything he does is hand-crafted and low-intervention - from wild ferments without the aid of temperature control, hand plunging, long macerations (with plenty of whole-bunch for the Syrah) to basket-pressing, gravity rather than pumping, old oak, and no fining or filtration.

His remarkable Syrah here comes from the gently warm and even 2018 vintage. It is perfumed, floral and ferrous, utterly cool climate in body, flavour and style."
