Kind of more complex than Burgundy, in many ways, is Piedmont. Biscotti, almost a nori perfume, some spices, sweet cherry in the back. Medium to full bodied, tannin is well massaged and ripe, shows a little old oak seasoning, but acidity is spot on and the finish rolls on in a most impressive manner. Muscular kind of wine, but lithe too " the way the best Nebbiolo often is. Much more to come here. 95 POINTS, Garry Walsh
