Valmaggiore Nebbiolo d‘Alba 2015 is a noble wine. Its natural elegance and the complexity of its perfume emphasize this. The wine shows color that ranges from ruby to garnet; an intense and deep red. The scent is deep and complex. The fragrant aroma recalls the classic notes of wild strawberry and raspberry and, most unusually, also of pomegranate and iris. Then more evolved fruit scents develop: red fruit jam and dried apricot. Finally, the minerality and hints of spice come forward, with cinnamon and vanilla. All surrounded by decisive ethereal hints, but in perfect harmony with the wine‘s complexity. The flavor is warm, dry and long-lasting. The alcoholic structure and acidity are in harmony, which makes the wine even more balanced and enjoyable. The passage of time will accompany these bottles toward perfection.
