Mike Bennie 93 points!"Leo Buring was dux of his oenology course (1896) at Roseworthy College. Nice little tidbit. For a man credited with a legacy of great riesling, it's neat to see that the brand continues to today, where so many others have fallen to the wayside.
Delicious, delicate wine. Almost succulent in lithe acid and citrussy freshness; a wine to be drunk with gusto and irreverence, but with enough fine detail to keep those intrigued in the 'house-style' rapt. Lots of floral and green apple personality in the perfume, crisp, light and soft to taste. Finishes with a puff of talc and some mouthwatering appley freshness. It's quiet complexity creeps up on you, but it's just bloody lovely to drink.
