[SOLD-OUT] Le Dom d'Henri Saint Pierre Chablis 2015

Variety:  100% Chardonnay
Appellation:  Chablis AC
Region:  Burgundy, France

"After 45 years at the helm of Domanie Laroche, Michel Laroche has embarked on a new project with his children. Beginning with the 2012 vintage, Domaine d’Henri is named after Michel’s father Henri. Reclaiming the Laroche family vineyards of 19ha, they include 17 plots of Petit Chablis, Chablis, 1er Cru Fourchaume and Beauroy. These plots are individually vinified to allow the terrior and vine age to fully express their character with a natural balance of minerality, tension, richness and acidity."

Franc About Wine

"The 2015 Chablis Saint Pierre comes from vines between 25 and 30 years old and sees 12 months on the lees, with 88% matured in stainless steel and the rest in barrel. It has a clean and crisp, chalk and wet limestone-scented bouquet that is focused and delivers impressive energy. The palate is well balanced with a fine thread of acidity and just a smear of clear honey mixed with dried apricot. The finish is quite pithy and phenolic.

Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com, September 2017

Bright yellow-green. Aromas of white peach, citrus zest and mint accented by ginger and quinine. Supple, spicy and minerally. This substantial village wine (13% alcohol) will benefit from a couple more years in bottle.
