2023 was a truly great vintage for the Hunter Valley. This Cabernet dominant wine is layered and balanced, displaying elegance and finesse. It shows notes of lifted blueberry, raspberry and fresh cherry aromas with hints of liquorice and black pepper that carry over the palate. It’s a medium-bodied style, it is classy and nicely balanced, with a lovely tannin-to-fruit-sweetness ratio, resulting in a textural, stylish wine, that will have outstanding longevity.
Lake's Folly Cabernets is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Shiraz made from low-yielding, single-site estate grown, hand-picked fruit. It is one of the most sought after and collected wines produced in Australia but hails from a small, boutique winery so production is low making this wine hard to come by.
