"Despite the name, this is a wine born from six vineyard sites, brought together as a whole ‘Kumeu expression’. Naturally fermented in barrel, with the whole lot going through malolactic fermentation, then matured for 11 months before bottling.
Around 20% new French oak used here. Whiffs of flint, green apple, touches of nougat and marzipan. Lean and yet flavoursome wine, compact and precise, great velocity in this wine, set around green apple, plupy grapfruit fruit characters and flint-like mineral vein. 2018-2030" - Mike Bennie, Wine Front, December 2018
"Water white. Fresh as a daisy on the nose. Very young and Chablis-like. But on the palate there is Cote d’Or richness and intensity, finishing with a strong youthful streak of lime." - Jancis Robinson, September 2018
