Produced in strictly limited quantities, the Krug Rose is not a classic rose. It is original, voluptuous and mysterious. It fascinates the eye and lips with its hint of flowers and its lively freshness, but its round flavour reigns from the first sip. Its colour " salmon-pink with a touch of coral " is initially surprising and hints at the subtle flavour to come. The nose of the Krug Rose is fine and flowery, complex and charming. It is easy to be seduced by its notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, wild berries and a hint of spices. It is fruity and delicate, very dry yet supple. Notes sourced from Krug

"A special wine in every regard, the Krug Rose is a rarity in Champagne. Offering perfectly struck pale-salmon colour, it has elemental, bright citrus and light-red fruit notes, very composed, gently chalky and fragrant. The palate is very precise and pure, with fresh, nutty dark citrus and toasty flavours; it has terrific, vinous appeal and will age nicely on cork. There's less reserve wine that the Grande Cuvee, hence the freshness and more unevolved style."
