Gary Walsh 93 points!"Tasted alongside the Old Vine of the same vintage and I suspect I preferred The Bogan. Hope that's not a reflection of my character. Or the current state of my hair...Perfumed oak, rich sweet dark cherry fruit with a bit of leather and tar. Full bodied with typical fine Kaesler super ripe fruit tannins, some heft from alcohol but a good gobful of flavour to go with it. Has length and smooth creamy vanilla oak on the long finish. Serve cool and it's a delicious hit of dark Barossa goodness."

Robert Parker 93 Points!"The 2008 'The Bogan' Shiraz has a very deep garnet-purple color and presents intensely fruity, crushed blackberries and cherries notes with some anise and tree bark. Full-bodied and richly fruited with firm fine tannins and crisp acid, it finishes long with pleasant notes of cumin and fennel seed. Drink it 2012 to 2019."
