Gary Walsh 93 Points!
Gary Wlash 93 Points!"A uniquely Australian name for a uniquely Australian style.
Incredible purple black colour " looks like a barrel sample. Cassis, blackberry nip, menthol, a violet port like fragrance, and smooth, smooth vanilla oak. There's some Barossa coal and tar lurking in there too. Big, super full bodied, plush and deluxe, with a little bit of alcohol warmth, mainly on the finish, but by and large it carries it off with style. Tannins are lovely " a product of breaking a few eggs to make an omelette I suppose. Length is good with a slick of fine powdery tannins on exit. It's a very good wine subject to tolerance of the style."
