"There's so much zest appeal in this plus all the purity and class a riesling with provenance can muster. Complex with a heady aroma of white florals, aniseed and fenugreek, lemon barley water, pith-like texture, superfine acidity so it's racy, long and oh-so-pure."

“These 2016 Clare Valley Rieslings, as I like to keep saying, are very very good.

There's so much zest appeal in this plus all the purity and class a riesling with provenance can muster. Complex with a heady aroma of white florals, aniseed and fenugreek, lemon barley water, pith-like texture, superfine acidity so it's racy, long and oh-so-pure.

Has a bit of fenugreek funk about it as a young wine, but under that it’s a thing of beauty and purity. Lime and lemon, the real river pebbles/slate/whatever-you-want-to-call-it thing you get in top Clare Valley Riesling is here aplenty. A little fennel and floral perfume, cool acidity, and immaculate length. Top shelf.

This micro-batch, super-premium Riesling is the fruit of years of patience. We selected individual rows where the terra rossa and loam barely cover the deep limestone below. To guarantee the freshness of these precious grapes, we carefully picked batches to precisely fill our membrane press in the chill of night and destemmed the bunches without crushing them.

Expresses a pale straw in the glass with a slight green tinge. Opens with powerful floral aromatics of rose water, citrus blossom, pear and lime. A wine of immense drive and purity. Tightly wound within clean, straight acidity. Exhibits pure lime fruit with a long citrusy finish. One with an eye to the future. A magnificent benchmark dry Riesling to be enjoyed now or with careful cellaring for the next ten years.
