[SOLD-OUT] Jim Barry Single Vineyard Riesling 2016

Over the past 57 years our family has developed and nurtured a mosaic of vineyards across the Clare Valley, each unique in site, soil and aspect. Distinct parcels of fruit are selected to make wines that reflect the vineyard from which the grapes are grown. This Riesling was sourced from our Lodge Hill vineyard and picked slightly later than we would traditionally pick Riesling in order to deliver a more generous and opulent style. A small parcel underwent cool fermentation in aged French barrels to enhance the texture of the wine.

This wine is a pale straw with a green hue. Aromatic drive of pink grapefruit, florals, green apple and a lift of tropical guava. Generous flavours of citrus and tropical fruit to open, tied together by a loosely woven framework of zippy acid. A wine of depth and complexity with a light, creamy texture through the middle focused by a lively, mineral finish
