"Extreme drought preceding the 2020 harvest resulted in a very small vintage of excellent Georgia’s Paddock fruit, which was complemented with the addition of some purchased Heathcote “friends” grapes to produce this blend.
Lifted aromas and flavours of complex, mixed ripe red and black berries with typical spiciness. If you can call a 15% alcohol wine elegant, the resulting wine has the expected magenta colour, with the normal fabulous balance between high acidity and supple tannins. Not quite as massive as some previous vintages by deliberately picking slightly earlier, this is delicious now as an ideal match for red meat / duck dishes and also has medium term cellaring capability." - Jasper Hill
