Wine Front 95 Points!
"Paddock of Emily seems to take on more new oak, with a same winemaking process as Georgia’s, though there is 3% cabernet franc in the mix, co-fermented. The difference is pretty much one kilometre, with slight variation in Cambrian soil type. “Emily’s tends to have a mint or eucalyptus character, or spice, or something, but a light distinction”.
Dark fruits, slippery, unctuous texture, more sinew to tannins through the finish. Perfume of dark berries, blackberry, faint fennel, choc mint, the whiff of wood spice and a general sense of moody, dark fruit. The palate is strong, lush, drives intensity and vigour, bound up and ready for cellar time. Superb wine."

"2017 Emily’s Paddock Shiraz (co-fermented with 3% Cabernet Franc)
Like the Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz, a little more forward and elegant than recent vintages - if you are familiar with Emily’s Paddock, this is unmistakably Emily’s Paddock! That highly spiced and perfumed nose with some mint, full fruity palate, harmonious grape and new French oak tannins with extreme length. Again, great longevity. 15.5% alc/vol"
