"Our Volnay Villages 2020 from the vineyard 'Ez Echards', just below the 1er Cru vineyard ‘En Champans’. The Volnay 2020 is an exceptional wine. In the nose it's floral, very spicy, with pepper, a touch of iron, but also very distinctive red fruit. On the palate it's incredibly soft and pleasant. Again we find little red fruit and a touch of almond. It's very elegant and full of finesse. A typical well-made Volnay! It's dangerously good." - Janots and Bos

 

"Thierry Janots and Richard Bos are two excellent winemakers with a passion for wines from the Côte d'Or, Bourgogne. In their winery in Meursault they make wines of the highest quality, brilliantly expressing the famous Burgundy terroir. They avoid additives and superfluous manipulations.

In 2005 they founded their own winery. Thierry has worked for numerous famous wineries, like Joseph Drouhin, Louis Latour and Domaine des Comtes Lafon. Richard worked in the Netherlands in gastronomy. Almost ten years after his education in Beaune, he followed his heart and went back to Burgundy. In 2005 they decided to join forces and founded JanotsBos. Although both are skilled winemakers, Thierry is focusing on the technical aspects, the wine making, whereas Richard is focusing on the marketing and commercial activities.

The wine guide “Guide Hachette” regularly praises the Janots Bos wines and has repeatedly awarded the “Coup de Coeur” to the winery." - Winery
