"Under the rock "Roche Vergisson", around the village of Vergisson, lies the vineyard "Les Courtelongs", from which we produce our Pouilly-Fuissé. This juicy Pouilly-Fuissé is exotic in the nose, with orange, mango, passion fruit and mint. This is very evident in the mouth, with a clearly recognizable mineral undertone with some flint. It is a beautiful full wine with a nice acidity, expressiveness and length. A Pouilly-Fuissé made in our JanotsBos style, just like our white Burgundies from the Côte d'Or. It is not without reason that we have many enthusiast fans for this wine. The finish is long and strong." - Janots Bos
"Thierry Janots and Richard Bos are excellent winemakers with a passion for wines from the Côte d'Or, Bourgogne. In their winery in Meursault they make wines of the highest quality, brilliantly expressing the famous Burgundy terroir. They avoid additives and superfluous manipulations.
In 2005 they founded their own winery. Thierry has worked for numerous famous wineries, like Joseph Drouhin, Louis Latour and Domaine des Comtes Lafon. Richard worked in the Netherlands in gastronomy. Almost ten years after his education in Beaune, he followed his heart and went back to Burgundy. In 2005 they decided to join forces and founded JanotsBos. Although both are skilled winemakers, Thierry is focusing on the technical aspects, the wine making, whereas Richard is focusing on the marketing and commercial activities.
The wine guide “Guide Hachette” regularly praises the Janots Bos wines and has repeatedly awarded the “Coup de Coeur” to the winery." - Winery
