"The grapes Mâcon Vergisson are from several vineyards in the higher parts of Vergisson ‘La Roche’. The saltiness and ripeness of the 2020 is striking and makes a great pairing with oysters! It’s also ideal for seafood in general. Striking in the nose are green apple and sweet blossom. The wine has a lot of minerality. This is a “bombe”. On the palate we notice fullness, pleasant acidity, a juicy character and a lot of freshness. Of course now also the saltiness comes forward. "Introducing Thierry Janots and Richard Bos. Two excellent winemakers with a passion for wines from the Côte d'Or, Bourgogne. In their winery in Meursault they make wines of the highest quality, brilliantly expressing the famous Burgundy terroir. They avoid additives and superfluous manipulations.
In 2005 they founded their own winery. Thierry has worked for numerous famous wineries, like Joseph Drouhin, Louis Latour and Domaine des Comtes Lafon. Richard worked in the Netherlands in gastronomy. Almost ten years after his education in Beaune, he followed his heart and went back to Burgundy. In 2005 they decided to join forces and founded JanotsBos. Although both are skilled winemakers, Thierry is focusing on the technical aspects, the wine making, whereas Richard is focusing on the marketing and commercial activities.
The wine guide “Guide Hachette” regularly praises the Janots Bos wines and has repeatedly awarded the “Coup de Coeur” to the winery." - Winery
