"Silvan is woozy with stemmy stench. Cactus and mezcal aromas come to mind, but brambly red fruit sits behind the Great Vegetal Wall of Jamsheed. It's startling and polarising how big the herbal impact is; but a wine of unique proportions, if tasty and interesting, gets reward in my books. Convention will say that many will find this wine too oblique, but freshness of fruit in the palate, a cavalcade of stewey red berries and spice, are lifted and shaped with a slew of ticklish acidity. Warm and washy, a big glass could be hard work, but with breathing time the wine returns to a simmer and then mellows. Exotic"

"Elegant, tighly focused and charming, revelling in the purity of its fruit. Wild, peppery aromas of mulberries, cassis, cherries and blackberries are lifted by a remarkably heady floral aspect and backed by meaty, charcuterie-like undertones. Long and luscious, with a penetrative expression of dark berries, plums and cherries knit with dusty oak and pliant, powdery tannin, it's tightly wound up by a lively acidity, finishing with a lingering core of remarkably pure fruit, meaty and herbal complexity. Drink 2022-2030."
