"Immediately the spice and slapped green Italian herbs with the almost, but not quite, cactus-sap pong that comes with stem influence. I like knowing that I'm in for a ride. Bright, very fresh blue berry fruit follows with coffee, leather and a sluice of squished blackcurrants and the finish is a long ribbon of dusty fruit. The wine is roped together with slippery stem characters, the vibrance of pure grapeyness and freshness of green acidity, but there's a grainy quality from very natural feeling, savoury fruit tannins. Unfettered, 'expressive' yet intricate, I'd enjoy seeing this with some mellowing age too"
