[SOLD-OUT] Huia Sauvignon Blanc 2017

"The Sauvignon Blanc 2017 was harvested from two BioGro certified organic Estate Vineyards. The Huia home block has well draining alluvial river-run soils. The sandy silts and stones supply excellent drainage and retain the suns heat overnight which contribute to the grapes ripe tropical characters. The Winsome vineyard soil is clay base mixed with black sand. Hotter days and cooler nights in this location create floral elderflower aromas along with red bell pepper and lime based mineral flavours. The grapes were pressed with the different vineyards being kept in separate vessels. A thirty percent portion was fermented in neutral French oak to add further richness and complexity to the wine.

This wine shows a good aromatic intensity with bright floral floral note of elderflower and lime blossom. The wine is layered with flavours ranging from guava, melon, gooseberry and lime zest. The palate has definite mineral notes balancing the ripe acidity and myriad of fruit and flower flavours. This uplifting Sauvignon shows an excellent length and depth on the palate, simply delicious in the glass.Huia Sauvignon Blanc shows a good aromatic intensity with bright floral note of elderflower and lime blossom.
