"This continues to serve as the beacom of exactly how great Australian sparkling wine can be. A powerful cool-climate style, with red fruits, apple, citrus, melon, stone fruits, white spring flowers and nutty yeasty complexity. The palate builds and peels in layers with remarkable length and richness, concentrated, precise flavour, finely crafted texture and a long and lignering toasted-hazlenut finish."

This sits right at the top end of Australian Sparkling " it's complex, symphonic and powerful with red fruits, apple, citrus, peach, melon, nuts and lively florals " impressive stuff to say the least. The palate has length and richness, plenty of flavour, super-fine texture and an even-handed, lingering finish that fades gently to grilled hazelnut flavour."
Tyson Stelzer, Wine 100 Nov/Dec 2010

"Born of a long-held desire to craft world class sparkling wines, the House of Arras is a true expression of its origin and maker - a marriage of exceptional cold climate Tasmanian vineyards and uncompromising sparkling winemaking techniques mastered over decades.

The House of Arras truly represents the pinnacle of Australian sparkling wine, equal to some of the world's best.

The Arras Grand Vintage is a wine of outstanding quality, enriched by the great complexity of character that follows five years of tirage. The traditional blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir retains all the brilliant freshness and longevity that will continue to allow the wine to improve with age.

Crystal clear with a fine and persistent bead and mousse, this wine is medium straw in colour with a fresh gold hue. The nose displays a complex mixture of aromas including honey biscuits, truffle and Swiss mushrooms and the distinct aroma of sea brine. The palate has a truly epicurean mix of characters reminiscent of the above aromas. The structure is tight and seamless with a strong natural acid backbone."
House of Arras

"A wonderfully rich yet perfectly balanced and poised sparkling from the gifted hands of Ed Carr, who's put everything in its place here: floral and stone fruits, oak complexity, crisp and clean lines with just-there, background complexities of classic aldehydes and a light talc-like mineral underlayer. Gorgeous and complex."
