"The 2014 vintage was a warm to hot vintage, and one of great quality. It produced very generous and plush fruit, with round, pillowy tannins" - Hickinbotham

 

"Brooks Road is predominantly from our contoured Shiraz vines planted in 1971. After the hand-picked Shiraz clusters are delivered from high country (210-230 metres) by Viticulturalist Michael Lane, the berries are destemmed and sorted into open fermenters. The cold soak is four days, the skins are plunged three times daily, and the minimum time on skins is eighteen days. The wine is then basket pressed; its free run and pressings kept separate. To minimize filtration at bottling, three rack-and-returns are conducted over fifteen months as the wine seasons in a mixture of Burgundy-coopered barrels" - Hickinbotham
