[SOLD-OUT] Henschke Mount Edelstone 2010

"The vines growing on the Mount Edelstone vineyard were 98 years old when the grapes were picked for this 2010 version. Iconic Eden Valley shiraz, produced since 1952, though its fame has built mostly over the past 25 years or so.

Succulent. Substantial. And beautiful. Blueberries, violets, red and black berries, mint. Clip of cedary oak. Gamey tannin. Eucalypt through the finish. Some seaweedy nori aromatics. Firm drying tannin. Big Australian, you could call it. You wouldn't want to be eucalypt intolerant but with all that fruit and tannin you'd back it as a firm favourite for the cellar. Smooth, bright, bold but firm."
